The coffee shop is surprisingly empty today, save for three students with their textbooks spread out around them and one middle-aged man gulping down his second quad-shot espresso while typing furiously. Everyone else is outside enjoying summer, which comes in small, fleeting slices in Victoria and therefore must be savoured as much as possible.
